New rules on waste

Today - December 18th - the Estonian presidency reached a provisional agreement with representatives of the EU Parliament to update rules to decrease waste generation, ensuring a better control of waste management, encouraging the reuse of products improving recycling in all EU membres States. Thus a more circular economy will be promoted, boosting growth and jobs; protecting environment and encouraging sustainability.
In the first quarter of next year, the Council will publish the final analysis on this legislative proposal.
